WELCOME TO THE OHIO QUESTERS WEB SITE!
The question is often asked, "What is a Quester?"
Our founder Jessie Barden's answer to this question is "A socially well-adjusted intelligent person who has curiosity, enthusiasm, imagination and a good memory; without memory we have no past, without imagination, no future."
Questers is an International organization founded in 1944 and is made up of approximately 900 chapters in the United States and Canada. We promote knowledge and education of antiques and collectibles and encourage preservation and restoration of historic sites to preserve our past and benefit our future. Approximately $100,000 is awarded biannually to various chapters in the United States and Canada through our Grants Program for their Preservation and Restoration projects. In addition, we provide scholarships and fellowships to students in graduate studies in the field of preservation.
Ohio Questers was chartered March 11, 1974 and has several chapters located throughout the state. Our theme is LEARN – SHARE – PRESERVE. Questers take great pride in their education of antiques and collections, sharing their knowledge with other Questers. The friendships made while sharing this mutual interest and attending our State and International Conventions are priceless.
We are always looking for new members to share their knowledge and collections with us. If you would like more information about joining the Ohio Questers, our e-mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org. For the locations of Ohio Quester Chapters, click here.
